Scope of works: Due to a fire that destroyed the majority of the school, RJC Group were engaged to restore the building and bring it back to life. The contract included overseeing the ARCP (Asbestos Removal Control Plan) due to the contamination of the building when the roof second floor collapsed into the school. The re-glazing of all windows was required to ensure the school would meet the required BCA compliance. With the use of Helifix ties to ensure the existing masonry façade was stabilized, as well as the inclusion of new steel and timber floors, RJC Group oversaw all trades in the building to ensure all the correct BCA compliance accreditations were met. The works also included the removal and replacement of all heritage windows, masonry works, painting and re-building of the roof structure and roof sheeting to the entire school roof.
